Attendance at New Prague Planning Commission Meeting

7/22/2026 | New Prague City Hall | 6:30 p.m.

Present:     Chairperson John Wermerskirchen, Supervisor Edward Nytes, Supervisor DeAnn Croatt, Clerk Heather M. Taylor DuCharme, City of New Prague Planning Commission and City Council members, City of New Prague employees and staff, residents, developer/applicant staff, and other individuals.

The request for concept plan review for possible development which would include annexation of approximately 63 acres by the City of New Prague from Helena Township’s item was #5(a) on the agenda. The concept plan was discussed by the City of New Prague and the proposed developer/applicant. Questions were taken from those in attendance, including commission members, Township officials, and others. Questions included those regarding weed/thistle present on the 63 acres still within Township boundaries.

After the concept plan review item discussion was finished, the Township officials left the meeting with many of the residents (New Prague) in attendance. While leaving the meeting, there was discussion about contacting the property owner of the land proposed to be annexed about the weed/thistle complaint. Taylor DuCharme was instructed by the Supervisors to send a letter and Nytes will also contact the property owner by phone. Taylor DuCharme advised the New Prague resident that the SWCD may have ways to treat the spread of weeds to their property. Township officials dispersed and left at 7:30 p.m.
